From New York Times Bestselling author Corinne Michaels comes a new second chance standalone love story.
At eighteen, I walked away from Willow Creek Valley for good.
I was young, scared, and stupid, and it cost me the love of my life—Grayson Parkerson.
Fourteen years later, a crash sends me back home to recover.
Back to where we met, fell in love, and planned a future.
The one he’s now living as a single dad to his daughter.
Working at The Park Inn together gives us a chance to reconnect, and seeing him with his little girl makes me long for the days when he was mine. One look in his gorgeous blue-green eyes, and it’s like I never left. One kiss, and my world is upside down. One night together, and I know without a doubt, in his arms is where I belong.
I’m not the girl I was—intimidated by his wealthy family and desperate to escape our small town. I can imagine a new life for us here.
But he’s learned to guard his heart, and trust won’t come easily.
How can I convince him to give first love a second chance?

Brilliant can’t wait to meet more of the Parkersons
I loved it ! My heart is whole, but it took awhile and I thought that just maybe I’d read a book of Corinnes with no tears ? But nope... a few escaped towards the end.
As a start to a new series it’s pure brilliance and I love the fact that there’s a tie in with the old, how could there not be with the experience they shared.
I adore the fact the characters are handled with care and the attention that is needed. Jessica especially and the relationships that surround them.
Grayson and Jessica fighting the push pull brilliant ! The doubt surrounding them not so much ! But to see it all unfold..... you need to read the book !
I do love a second chance romance and slightly older characters, in fact it’s a reason I connect so well with them !
But overall ! It’s a great read and a great start to a new series and I can’t wait to me the rest of the girls and boys of the Parkersons
Fabulous start to this new series
There's very few authors that can write second chance romance as good as Corinne Michaels. She really is the best at it and you will definitely love this story. It's the first book in this new series and there's lots of Parkerson siblings to look forward to reading about.
Jessica was in Jacobs book from the Arrowood Brothers series so although she only had a small amount of page time I highly recommend reading that series before starting this one. The events at the end of that book put Jessica in the position she finds herself in now so definitely worth a read. I really love that we get to see snippets of previous characters in each new series so I strongly recommend reading them in series order.
We're introduced to the Parkersons siblings in this series. Grayson and Jessica were teenage sweethearts but life didn't quite work out how they wanted. Years later the feelings are still just as strong. Grayson life hasn't been an easy one. A single father, his daughter Amelia is his world. She's a really cute kid.
I loved how supportive and caring Grayson is. He's definitely a caretaker of those he loves around him and he's very patient. Jessica has a lot to work through both physically and mentally and needs his steady support. He's still super hot though, he definitely knows where he wants this relationship to go.
About half way through I did think the story was gonna be quite predictable. I thought I knew where the story was going to go but typical Corinne style she threw in a few surprises. Definitely kicked the story up a gear and the ending is just brilliant. The next book is going to be really fiery.
Brill start to a new series & swoon!
A new series, a new town and a new family and first up is Grayson, who will swoon you and make your heart melt.
Corinne is the queen of second chance romances and Grayson and Jessica’s is an emotional rollercoaster.
Jessica really does go through it, but this story shows you life’s about chances, don’t live a life full of regrets, live in the now.
I loved Grayson. Soft and gentle, romantic and damn he is sexy!
An excellent read and a brilliant first in a new series that really gives you a glimpse and tease of all upcoming characters....
