Summary : The community of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Marie (SNJM) always honored its history. Thus, the commemorative ceremonies are the occasion to remind the merits of the founder and the members of the community, underline their successes in the educational work and to consolidate their place among religious communities. This article tries to seize the adaptation of the commemorative speech of the SNJM through times, and the message delivered to its members and to the public by comparing the contents of the commemorative texts of the celebrations of 1894, 1944, 1969 and 1994. Resume: La communaute des Soeurs des Saints Noms de Jesus et de Marie (SNJM), s'est toujours fait un point d'honneur de valoriser son histoire. Ainsi, les ceremonies commemoratives sont l'occasion de rappeler les merites de la fondatrice et des membres de la communaute, de souligner leurs succes dans l'oeuvre d'education et de conforter leur place parmi les communautes religieuses. Ce texte cherche a saisir l'adaptation du discours commemoratif des SNJM au gre des epoques et a comprendre le message adresse a ses membres et au public en comparant le contenu des textes commemoratifs des celebrations de 1894, 1944, 1969 et 1994.
