Love a rogue
A well written story of a needy rogue that finds a way to make money with a rich heiress .
A passionate and sensual read making this story a very enjoyable read.
A very different historical romance
Lord Harry Steele, the disowned 4th son of a Duke is flamboyant, scandalous and a bit depraved; at times I liked him, at others, not. Harry and his friends are certainly not fine upstanding men, in fact they are involved in all of manner of things that could see them get hanged. Not that the story focuses on Harry’s illegal activities but instead his business of squashing other peoples scandals. It is in this role that he meets Miss Alice North who needs his help in separating her sister from a fortune hunter. For the first time since he opened his business, Harry finds himself falling for a client but being Harry rather than court her, he does all sorts of scandalous things with her. Found the story too modern in it’s sensibilities, I don’t think I’ll be reading more in this series.
