I was a little skeptical about reading Thrust, but as soon I started the first chapter, I immediately knew it was going to be one of the hottest, sexiest and imaginative books I will ever read. Along with Rough and Grind, Sybil Bartel’s books have made their way into my Top 20 favourite books. I honestly cannot stop thinking about what Alex, Jared and Dane look like in my head and it is making me blush. I wished the stories were longer and that there was a prologue because, I honestly can’t get enough of the ex Marines! It is one thing to know that ex Marines suffer from all sorts of trauma after being in the field, but the way Bartel gives you a strong and visual insight and perception as to how the men feel, think and what they go through and have experienced, is quite mind blowing. I think that it is a skill that not many authors have, but Bartel managed to pull it off tremendously. I love the female characters, and how they can stand their own ground, are strong, resilient characters and have been through hurtful things, but still managed to persevere. And they also rocked the worlds of their soulmates!
