Publisher Description
They loved each other before she died. Now she can’t remember why.
Lady Eleanore Neville, sister to the Duke of Gainford, was thought to have been lost at sea. Miraculously, she was rescued, only now her life is empty of meaning. She reaches for steadily more risqué entertainment and company in an effort to find it.
Cian, Earl of Innesford and the head of the Williams family, whom the Nevilles openly despise, has loved Eleanore for years. He hovers on the edge of Eleanore’s life, helping the Duke curtail the worst of Eleanore’s excesses, despite knowing there is no hope of his beloved Ellie ever truly being his.
The delicate balance begins to unravel when Cian discovers a nude portrait of Eleanore in a public gallery and is forced to act…

Praise for Rules of Engagement
Rules of Engagement is the 8th volume in one of the best historical series I have ever read. Edge of my seat and heart in my mouth until that glorious HEA!
Just wow, at last these two get together in a most fascinating way.
Each book in this series leaves me with the thought "this one is by far the best one"; wrong again.
Cooper Posey takes us on an emotional rollercoaster ride. You MUST read this book and take the ride along with those of us that have read it.
This is an incredibly big series but it still amazes me how fresh it remains. You rock Tracy, can't wait for the next one!
This series is so special that you must read it from the beginning to get the full effect of the love everyone has in this family for each other.
SO worth the wait!!! As always, Tracy delivers an AMAZING story!
Cian is the perfect gentleman. He is my new book boyfriend!
This book is a wonderful addition to this series. I cried happy tears...insulted Eleanor’s uncle...so many emotions... I loved it.
I could not put this down. I cried for these two. I didn't think that anything would go right for them.
This was such a great book. So very well written, drawing out so many emotions from me. I found myself crying at some points because Tracy is just that good.
Warning: have the tissues handy...especially around the 80% mark. Love, love love! This is by far my favorite historical romance series.
This book actually made me want to swoon at the end!!
Tracy Cooper-Posey never fails to deliver! She brings historical romance to a new level with Scandalous Scions overall but even more so with Rules of Engagement.
There is such richness of plot, scenes, characters, and emotions that the reader can become totally immersed in the story Ellie and Cian.
What a truly beautiful story of love that overcomes the greatest tragedies. The author has made me a fan of the genre, and I intend to read every one of this series, which I had not prior to this one.
I’m not ashamed to say I cried, not just once. Wish that I could’ve joined that wonderful family.

Rules of engagement or rules meant to be broken?
Rules of Engagement is the 8th book in the Scandalous Scions Series, but the incredible thing is it is just as drawing as the first book. The powerful, saucy storyline makes your fingers twitch to keep turning the pages. The insight into the Victorian mindset is compelling and addictive. The characters share their loves and heartbreaks with you so thoroughly that you find yourself laughing out loud, tearing up and howling in frustration. A must have addition for all romance fans - review by Squeaky Pip.
