The FBI and a Jewellery Heist 3.5*
This is the second book in a series and I think I would have got more out of it, if I had read the first. I did find it difficult to believe that an FBI agent could marry a jewel thief without being either forced to resign, or at the very least be seriously demoted/transferred to an area where he wasn't investigating jewellery thefts. I also had trouble getting into the relationship between husband and wife where their marriage is described as an "endless game of cat-and-mouse". All the above interfered with my enjoyment of the book but by the latter half I was more in tune with the writing style, the story itself picked up pace and I became more invested in the characters. The ending was a big surprise, which I didn't see coming. I would be happy to read more books by this author.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.
