Scintasy

You might be the hero of your own story, but that doesn't mean you're not the villain of someone else's.

Mabel would love nothing more than to be forgotten. New to Yellow Light, the creative wing of the spaceship she's lived her whole life on, Mabel is doing her best to fit in amongst her talented peers. If she can convince them that she belongs, then perhaps she can convince herself, too.

Josiah's heart yearns for more than his assigned destiny in the salt mines. He dreams of leaving the grasslands behind him to explore the world, even if it is full of dragons who could eat him and witches who might curse him. After a chance encounter with a stranger, Josiah discovers escape might be possible after all.

Our two protagonists live a universe apart, and there's no reason why anyone would ever think their lives could cross paths.

Scintasy is the first story in The Myrtasian Chronicles: a collection of science fantasy tales that have a dash of science and a dollop of magic.
