La doctrine de la "creation par (simple) vue" (drsti-srsti-vdda) (= DS), autrement dit la doctrine selon laquelle "le monde (en tant que donnant a percevoir des differences) (ne) consiste (qu') en une (simple) perception," est une doctrine vedantique d'inspiration "idealiste," dont la restitution et l' interpretation sont aussi difficiles que dedicates: faut-il 1'interpreter comme signfiant soit que la creation est concomitante avec la perception hie et nunc (drstisamakala), soit que la creation (srsti) est iden-tique a la modification mentale generant les constructions mentales, autrement dit a la conscience modifies sous la forme des idees bornees aux objets, soit que la "vue," c'est-a-dire la perception, est per se creation (drsti eva srsti)'? Quoi qu'il en soil, recusant tout dualisme epistemologique entre la sujet percipient et l'objet pereu, elle pose que "seul existe ce qui est connu" (jndtaikasaltd) et, par-tant, qu'il n'existe aucune realite non-penjue d'aucune sorte (ajnatasattabhava), autrement dit que ni l'objet ni le monde n'existent independamment de la perception ou de l'idee qui les livre a la conscience, la perception etant contemporaine dc son objet. Jusqu'a cette elude, on tenait d'ordinaire que "1. Prakasananda est le fondateur de cette doctrine, 2. que cette doctrine est tres proche de la philosophic dc Mandana, 3. qu'elle soutient que le monde consiste en sa perception momentanee, 4. que cette doctrine s'aligne sur celle du Yogacara, 5. que le DS est identique a la doctrine de l'esse est percipi de Berkeley" (p. 16).
