Skincare for College Students
Publisher Description
The skin, or cutaneous membrane, is an amazing organ. With the exception of the newly discovered interstitium (a fluid filled insulating tissue), it is the largest organ of the body. Like the cell wall of every cell, the skin is a selectively permeable membrane. It regulates the absorption and excretion of different substances across the body, and has a variety of different specialized cells and layers to take accomplish all of it’s different tasks. I wish this book helps you to better understand your skin in simple terms, and hopefully gives you the insight to make your skin care goals more reachable. If anything, I hope it at least makes the different skincare suggestions you may have heard more sensible as you gain knowledge about different skin functions and disorders!
