I'm a scrounger, a liar, a hypocrite, a stain on society with no basic morals - or so they say. After all, what else do you call a working-class single mum in temporary accommodation?
The darkly funny debut memoir from the creator of HBO and BBC's Rain Dogs, Skint Estate is a scream against austerity that rises full of rage in a landscape of sink estates, police cells, refuges and peepshows.

Raw and truthful.
Raw and truthful , the very safety net to keep people from falling is failing , due to the myriad of reasons as touched upon .
As well as cash relates her experiences nothing can level up how and what it’s like when you going through it at that time not knowing how it will turn out , very moving .
Incredible, eye opening. Thank you.
I just want to thank the author for this eye-opening book.
Big thumbs up
Spoken from the heart. Relatable and funny in parts. Addictive to read!
