"I am a twenty-first century sociopath," former therapist Gagne asserts in the introduction to her bracing debut, "and I've written this book because I know I'm not alone." She begins by recounting her childhood affinity for thievery and other early signs, including the excessive time she spent alone, that "something about me was off." As Gagne grew older, stealing trinkets gave way to stealing cars and credit cards, and in college, her first therapist diagnosed her as a sociopath. I just loved the insight and the raw honesty of the book.
A great read giving true and raw insight into sociopathy. With no experience or professional interest in the subject this was a really gripping read and I feel has given me an understanding of a subject I didn’t even think about. Thank you Patric for your honesty and determination to help us all learn and grow.
Hmmm
Began well. Interesting stuff from the writer’s perspective. Became increasingly boring as she tried to be heard as an academic with “new insights”, which are all old hat. The narcissistic driven narrative drowned any interest I had in the book or author. I didn’t finish her travels through the egosphere.

I didn’t think this book would keep me up up reading deep into the night but it did. Thank you.
