Publisher Description
A magical romance blossoms in the follow-up to WINGS, the bestselling novel described by Stephenie Meyer as "a remarkable debut".
"I can't just storm in and proclaim my intentions. I can't 'steal' you away. I just have to wait, and hope that someday you'll ask," Tamani said.
"And if I don't?" Laurel asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Then I guess I'll be waiting forever."
It's been almost a year since Laurel discovered that she is a faerie, placed with human parents as an infant to help protect the gateway to the faerie realm of Avalon. Although she's come to accept her true identity, Laurel refuses to turn her back on her human life-and especially her boyfriend, David-to return to the faerie world.
But when she is summoned to Avalon to relearn her long-forgotten faerie magic, Laurel must depend on the charismatic faerie sentry Tamani. Her feelings for him are undeniable, and she is forced to make a choice-a choice that could break her heart.
When a deadly enemy resurfaces and puts both Laurel's life and Avalon in danger, Laurel must draw on all her human strength as well as her faerie skills to save both of her worlds and all of those she holds dear.

"[The book] has an interesting love triangle… The writing is accessible and easygoing, but pace and tension gathers efficiently in the background." TheBookBag.co.uk

"The story is well-written; Laurel's developing relationships… are convincing and the plot rattles along with enough conviction to hold your interest." School Librarian

I love this book
Hi you should so buy this book.
You should buy this book because one , It is the sequel to the first book and secondly that this book is fantastic. But if you have not done so yet you should read the first one wings first ,you should do this because you need to know what is going on a lot of the time first because if you don't then it will get a lot confusing. Why is this book good? This book is good because it ties everything up from the first book wings ; why these things have happened in the first place and so forth. In spells laurel gets to go to Avalon and study there, laurels mum dose not like the idea of laurel being a fairy and does not talk to her a lot any more. Laurel and David are still a couple but are in competition with Chelsea and her new boyfriend Ryan as they are now in laurels life so she has to be very careful with her blossom around them. There is a strange woman in the picture now too whom saved laurels and David's lives from the trolls whom are still after laurel Tamani comes back helping and hindering laurel trying to get her to live with him in avelon and trying to convince her to get away from David. I hope that sums the story up for you and I hope you like the book.
Apirlynne Pike is a talented author-this isnt a saying its FACT.
The moment i read the first page i fell inlove with the series. I would recommend this book to anyone, baring in mind it is more of a girly book. If you enjoy a little romance and fantasy book then this is the book 4 you. This book is a real page turner but if you haven't read the first book (wings) then go read that one first.
P.S TEAM TAMANI! :) xoxox
