Publisher Description

The international million copy bestseller recounting the epic turning point of the WW2
______________

In October 1942, an officer wrote 'Stalingrad is no longer a town . . . Animals flee this hell; the hardest stones cannot bear it for long; only men endure'.

The battle for Stalingrad became the focus of Hitler and Stalin's determination and its citizens endured unimaginable hardship as a result. But the eventual victory of the Red Army, and the failure of Hitler's Operation Barbarossa, was the first defeat of Hitler's territorial ambitions in Europe, and the start of his decline.

An extraordinary story of tactical genius, civilian bravery, obsession, carnage and the nature of war itself, Stalingrad will act as a testament to the vital role of the soviet war effort.

Mad Men and Millions of lives lost

What a brilliantly researched book about arguably one of WW2’s defining battles. Millions of lives lost in pursuit of Hitlers Napoleonic maniacal fantasies and Starlin’s brutal paranoid regime of repression and fear ! Ultimately The red army won through strength of Numbers and unwavering courage and commitment to the defence of their land. The out come being the making of the Cold War and the very real threat of Nuclear assured destruction in the 60’s.
Will read more from this author and the subject in more detail!!

Astonishing

This the account of imperialism's armies leading by Mr Hitler, attacking, and trying to destroy a new world system, called SOCIALISM.

A brutal, inhuman tale of fascism and what it can do to humanity, throughout.
