Stand By The Union

William Taylor Adams (1822 – 1897), pseudonym Oliver Optic, was a famous academic, author, and a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Adams in whole wrote over 100 books and most of them for a boy audience.

«Stand by the Union» is the fourht of «The Blue and Gray Series» volume, and as in previous stories this one takes place in the midst of the war of the Rebellion but now in thirty years. The incidents of the story contained in this volume are suggested by actual occurrence during the Rebellion and relates how main character find himself aboard and he has no way how to prove he is the true Christy Passford.
