How do real things come into existence, actually?

Two Scottish school students and their guidance teacher, Mrs. McCarthy, are invited to the quantum photonics labs of Edinburgh University, only to become entangled in the Singularity of Under-standing when an experiment goes wonderfully wrong.

They find themselves as part of the great oak tree of Lammermuir - the moor of lambs. They follow the Stream of Tears to the Seeing Pool, where they meet Celt, the ancient seer of Lammermuir. They gaze into the seeing pool as she describes how all things are actually one.

Mrs. McCarthy goes on to write a book in which she describes in detail how real things come into existence as a function of the singularity. So doing, she resolves the so-called quantum paradoxes, the enigma of 'dark matter' and explains why the speed of light is constant for all observers....
