•Where did our instincts go, and why are we the only species that must learn how to survive from scratch?
•Is our technological progress a "discovery"—or are we simply struggling to remember what we once knew?

We didn't evolve from the dust of this earth. We are the survivors of a forgotten catastrophe. We are a high-tech civilization trapped in the bodies of primates, stranded on a foreign world. Our obsession with the stars isn't curiosity. It's homesickness.
