Defendant, John Mark Oman, was convicted in the District Court, Eighteenth Judicial District, County of Gallatin, on May 31, 1984, of felony assault. He was sentenced on June 21, 1984, to a three-year deferred imposition of sentence and 60 days in jail on work release - Page 262 with credit for time served. The defendant appeals from his conviction.
