Subitising One

This simple book is about subitising. What is subitising? Subitising is a valuable skill and one that is well worth children learning to master as early as possible. Subitising (or subitizing) is a skill that instantly recognises the number of objects in a small group without needing to count them. Have fun with your child and take turns being the teacher. Ask your child how many? Repeat until your child confidently tells you how many without counting. Reinforce by asking your child to show you the same amount with their fingers.
