The Academic Foundation Programme (AFP) is a prestigious first postgraduate posting for medical students and the competition is intense. As the first step on the clinical academic career ladder, the AFP provides an amazing opportunity for young doctors to develop their research and teaching skills alongside their clinical practice.
This Codex is written and edited by recent Academic Foundation Doctors, and is based on the highly successful course run by Academic Frontiers.
The authors, recent graduates of Golden Triangle Academic Foundation Programmes, bring together their experience and perspective, providing an approach and framework guaranteed to maximise readers' chances of securing a place.
ABOUT THE CODEX PROJECT
The Codex Project is a collaboration of academics who are re-defining academic textbooks. Each Codex is designed to answer a highly focused question and is about the length of one or two conventional textbook chapters - about 5000 to 10 000 words.
