Publisher Description

Author David Kreiling constructs a character mind that breaks contemporary civilization into tiny word units that compete for attention within his analytic processing system mimicking a universal  helplessness in the sea of ideas that drown humans across the planet. Supergod, Vanity Pie and the forthcoming Quantopia expose the early 21st century for its' characteristic mindful overload. The Supergod Trilogy was started by the author in 1999 with human madness that begins with utopian wistfulness, dives into self indulgent witlessness and concludes with cold chaos in an epic literary masterpiece.

In Supergod, Zeal (of David), a pretender among intellectuals, taunts earthlings with a gushing mind that roams the world at the dawn of the third millennium. His grasp at truth almost finds answers, and sometimes movie stars, but doubts burrow through his mental froth couched in only apparent reason, old logic approximating abstract possibility, that surprisingly morph into spurts of assimilated growth, followed by erosion of a self inflicted fictive personality. He caroms ideas, opinions and assertions against untenable connections while pitching for breakfast with Supergod to discuss the state of people on earth in this universe at the Beverley Hills Hotel.

There is an intention, though a bit vague, for this to be the first of a trilogy on the life and death of Zeal written unsystematically over twenty or thirty years; presumably prior to dementia setting in, but no promises. So, as the author, I advise you to not hold your breath for the literary equivalent of sequels, go ahead and attempt to slog your way through this one during your dead time, and hope my writing improves someday soon. Read VANITY PIE, after this, while awaiting the final book in the SUPERGOD TRILOGY.

Note that the Supergod Trilogy can perhaps best be categorized as literary fiction, experimental stream of consciousness or foolishness. And Joyce, Woolf and Faulkner are certainly easier to understand, though far less fun.
