Taking the Reins

Feeling his years, Rudolf, Head Reindeer of the Sleigh, dreams of retirement. Unlike his fellow Sleigh-Deer, Rudolf has no heir to take his name and place in the team and has lingered in the position long after he should. Approaching Santa with his retirement request, Rudolf is stunned to find Santa childishly refusing to grant him leave calling on North Pole Law and Conduct codes to keep his friend at his side. Fortunately, a special elf by the name of Wizz, suggests a Grand Tournament whereby all reindeer calves of the Pole may try out for the esteemed position of Head Reindeer of the Sleigh. It is Mrs Claus, the voice of reason, who encourages Santa to allow Rudolf to find his replacement in this manner. 
With the Grand Tournament given the go ahead, strange and curious events unfold. Underhanded mischief, wayward behaviour and grand tomfoolery are exposed. Elves go underground, reindeer calves break rules and Santa, well, it appears he’s capable of some shenanigans of his own.
Despite a myriad of sabotage and scandal, twelve brave reindeer calves battle bravely through three tournament events to earn Rudolf’s position as Head Reindeer of the Sleigh. Despite the lurking mischief, one brave and unsuspecting calf will shine and win the hearts of the North Pole.
