Brilliant poems. An absolute joy to read

These poems are a delight! The author retells some of the great stories of the classical world in rhyming couplets using some modern idiom to amusing effect. The underlying 'truth' remains intact, however, so they a great say to introduce the classics to the kids. Read out loud they are even better.
The contextual notes from the scholarly author gives the correct historical 'facts' of each tale - for the purists.
