Tales of Fantasy and Fact

This book represents a collection of seven short stories that draw their sources from history and mythology which supply the “fact” aspect of the stories, and the writer’s imagination which supplies the “fantasy” aspect.

In this book, you will find the following stories:

• “A Primer of Imaginary Geography” – a nighttime cruise, conversation about literature, a captain of an immortal ghost ship.
• “The Kinetoscope of Time” – a stranger shows wonderful pictures to a man and offers him a bizarre agreement. Who is this stranger?

'The Dream-Gown of the Japanese Ambassador” – similar to the previous story, but explains its spell.
• “The Rival Ghosts” – presents a respect to the humor in Washington Irving's tales of “spiritus Americanus” that is set in Salem. 
• “Sixteen Years Without a Birthday” – although it seems as something impossible to happen one man, a mathematician, proves to his friends that it can be possible.
• “The Twinkling of an Eye” – the last and the longest story of all is a detective story for the modern reader.
• “A Confidential Postscript” - an appendix in which the author gives a brief overview of how each of the stories was created.
