It was first published in the pulp magazine All-Story Magazine in October, 1912. The character was so popular that Burroughs continued the series into the 1940s with two dozen sequels.

Tarzan of the Apes
I first read Tarzan of the Apes when I was a teenager and was hooked on all of the Tarzan books. Now in my seventies I wanted to revisit some of my childhood stories. Once again I enjoyed the book and it only felt like yesterday since I first read it.
