The 40-Year-Old Vespa Virgin
Publisher Description
In the summer he turned 40, Peter Moore bought a Vespa as old as he was and rode it from Milan to Rome.
It was a trip that took him through medieval stone towns, patchworked fields and into the hearts of all the Italians he met.

The 40-Year Old Vespa Vrgin
As a 60 year old Mod (though a Lambretta man) and an Italophile, I loved the memories this short story conjured up. The humour was as captivating as the sound of a 2 stroke engine and the observations of all things Italian were as sharp as the creases in my old two tone suit. The only reason I stopped short of a full 5 stars is because the author stopped short of satisfying my appetite for more. Bravo.
This is a cut down taster.
If you want the full book read Vroom with a view and the sequel Vroom by the sea.
Good book -too short
I enjoyed the story, being an ex Vespa rider, but would have appreciated just a bit more padding. Could have been a good paperback
