APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
C. L. Taylor’s The Accident is so powerful, you might start questioning everything—and everyone—around you. Sue Jackson is a mother desperate to understand how her 15-year-old daughter, Charlotte, ended up hit by a bus and in a coma. As she investigates Charlotte’s private life, Sue edges closer to secrets that threaten to lay waste everything she holds dear. Taylor expertly orchestrates a pacey, foreboding novel with explosive twists.
Good tense thriller
Really enjoyed this.
Anticlimactic at best
I felt as though the first 29–30 or so chapters were great. They built up a good story and I did enjoy the journey, although.... the chapters 32—33 felt incredibly rushed and somewhat anticlimactic. It had spent a while building to this huge thing and then it just stopped. Questions were left unanswered but I suppose the main one of ‘WHY & WHAT’ was answered.
Great story. Good twists. Worth a read, although I worked out main twist but I read loads of similar books so I wouldn't take that as a bad thing!
