The best systems and procedures guide out there
Absolutely excellent, I’ve never read a better A320 systems and procedures guide. This is much, much more than just a walkthrough of normal procedures, it’s also an in-depth, outstandingly well explained systems guide, discussing normal and abnormal operation of all relevant systems in great detail with beautiful photography, excellent diagrams, and useful videos. If you want to learn about the aircraft’s systems and the reasons behind the procedures, look no further. It’s also a great resource for interview or simulator prep. Descriptions are clear, concise, very readable and easy to understand. Will and Ben cover the A320 in detail far beyond the FCOM, taking information from a range of manuals, and discussing its practical implications in real world operations. They also cover many variant differences in more details than I expected, a testament to the authors’ dedication and expertise. The Q&A format is a unique but excellent choice, answering questions both new and experienced Airbus pilots may have but which aren’t well explained even in Airbus’ own literature. It’s a great format to learn about the reasons behind the procedures which aren’t always obvious and often go unaddressed (even in the FCOM), and can also serve as great interview preparation for airline interviews, type ratings, upgrades to capt. or instructor, etc. Airbus could learn a lot from this book! Thank you, well done, and I look forward to Vol. 2.
