This book has so much in it that resonates with those of us brought up in a certain time and place. But so much more than that, it is a stunning shift in genre, moving from a Tony Parsons-like tale to something more becoming Rebus himself! It is only as the book reaches its climax that it becomes clear how so many plot lines cleverly weave together into one meaningful whole.
