The Beatles Tune In, Special edition Pt 2
The best compliment payable here is that Mark has perfectly recreated the period. I was born in 1956 to a family of musicians, and for our generation we remember it all kicking off, which for me was Thank Your Lucky Stars in jan 1963. You cannot write down the feeling of exhilarating discovery, but by recreating the era you can bring back how it felt. A bit like remembering hurting yourself of being told off as a young child. The "come on, come on" call and answer bridge in Please Please Me will never be replaced as anticipated excitement goes. I'm just very grateful to Mark for putting in all that time and effort to help me hang on to a period in time when innocence allowed us all to become part of the tidal wave of unparalleled joy.
