Publisher Description
A sexy new series of standalone romances from New York Times bestselling author Kendall Ryan.
I’m not boyfriend material.
If a trail of broken hearts and a piss-poor record of failed relationships have taught me anything, it’s this. My buddies are happy to give me shit about my latest breakup from here to next Sunday. Thanks, but I’d rather have a root canal.
And a vasectomy.
At the same time.
Relief comes in an unlikely package—the gorgeous and feisty Maren. She just so happens to be my best friend’s sister, so that’s not awkward at all.
But I’m a man on a mission, and Maren is down to teach me all the ways I’ve been failing as a boyfriend. Apparently, there are many. And it’s all very informative—until I start to catch feelings.
Now it’s not just my reputation on the line, but my heart too.

Move over Tom, there’s a new boy in town!!!
The Boyfriend Effect is the first in a new series, ‘Frisky Business’, by Kendall Ryan. It had me giggling from the opening chapters and that light-hearted feeling stayed with the story throughout. Maren and Hayes were a sweet, and sexy couple.
Maren’s held a hidden candle for Hayes for years but never had the opportunity to let him ‘see’ her. Once he did, it was all hands on deck, or counter, lol. I loved these two, and the secondary characters were pretty amazing too, especially the elderly variety.
Fantastic
First time reading a book by this author and I wasn’t disappointed! Hayes falls for the forbidden, his best friends sister Maren. He struggles with keeping his feelings intact, but she may be exactly what he needs. Such a really easy read with humour, the forbidden, love and romance. Loved all the characters in this book, and I can’t wait to ready more in the series.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
An addictive and sexy romcom
A friends to lovers/best friend’s sister romance which I absolutely loved. It was sexy, it was funny (oh so funny), and it was sweet. Hayes Ellison has known Maren Cox pretty much her whole life. He’s been best friends with her brother since third grade, so when she’s all grown up and filled out in all the right places, she’s unattainable, yet it would appear they’ve not got that memo, oh no, what they’ve both got is the hots for each other. Add in Hayes’ grandma Rosie, and her new ‘friend’ Don, and what a wonderful read we have. All the scenes with Rosie and Don p in had me laughing my socks off, truly hilarious. Hayes reaction to them was just THAT funny. That aside, he was also sweet, sensitive and oh so sexy. He thought he wasn’t boyfriend material, it turns out he’s just not met ‘the one’. A truly addictive, sexy and enjoyable romcom. I loved it. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.
