SHANE
My nickname is Brick Wall. Nothing is supposed to get past me on the ice. But lately, I can't stop anything.
Until I spend one night with Bliss Vescovi. I'm supposed to be focused on getting my game back. Not chasing a redhead who sees right through me. Not wanting more than one night. Not falling for a woman who's already decided I'm temporary.
But Bliss looks at me like I'm more than a goalie in a slump. She sees the man and not the hockey player. And now I'm starting to think the game might not be everything there is in life.
BLISS
A no-strings fling with a hot hockey player who's leaving at the end of the season? Perfect.
Catching actual feelings for Shane Conrad? Disaster.
My ex taught me exactly what happens when you give a driven, intense man control over your heart. I rebuilt myself from the wreckage. I know better now.
Except Shane's off-beat humor keeps dismantling my defenses. His smile makes me forget every promise I made to myself. And when he gets the call to the NHL — the call he's been chasing his whole life — I realize I've been lying to myself about how much I'll miss him.
Shane isn't walking away without a fight.
Maybe I'm finally ready to stop running.
THE BRICK WALL is a steamy hockey romance featuring a brooding goalie hero, a fiercely independent heroine healing from emotional abuse, sizzling chemistry, laugh-out-loud banter, and a hard-fought happily ever after. No cliffhanger. Standalone.

Ok read
This was an alright book. Pretty short though and although the characters were pretty likeable, their development (both as individuals and their relationship) was pretty shallow. Personally, I’d like to know how their getting to know each other played out, rather than being told that they’d gotten to know each other in the months skipped between chapters, as I’d have liked to know more about the characters myself. Instead, I’m left feeling like they’re just lusting after one another.
