Customer Reviews
The Bruce
First book by Nigel Tranter I ever read. Still one of his best. A cracking read.
History brought to glorious life
Read this for its story of heroism & adventure. Read this as a gripping and moving account of the life struggles & triumphs of King Robert the Bruce. Forget Braveheart, this is the real deal.
Great Read
For anyone interested in History of Scotland this is a great read. There are numerous 'type errors' and some use of Terms not evident in today's language, some originating in the 17th Cent.
A map of Scotland at hand at the time to get an idea of landmarks and places would be useful.
Despite this the Trilogy is excellent the Historical Characters brought to life. A definite couldn't put it down read.
