Publisher Description
'If you really want to hear about it, the first thing you'll probably want to know is where I was born and what my lousy childhood was like, and how my parents were occupied and all before they had me, and all that David Copperfield kind of crap, but I don't feel like going into it, if you want to know the truth.'
The first of J. D. Salinger's four books to be published, The Catcher in the Rye is one of the most widely read and beloved of all contemporary American novels.

Customer Reviews
I was very surprised by how good this was
I had always heard about this book. The classic. I also had absolutely no idea about the story within. Only guessing from the title. After finally reading this, I now understand the hype. It’s great

What can I say about this book
that hasn’t already been said. I’ve read it over 10 times i never ever get tired of it.
Absolutely a masterpiece
Genuinely one of the most entertaining reads in my opinion. Crude humour, easy to understand storyline and a heartfelt end makes it a worthwile story
