The Celtic Dragon Myth

A popular story involving not only dragons but mermaids, giants and fairies, The Celtic Dragon Myth was compiled in novel form by the Scottish folklorist J. F. Campbell. The story is found in many Indo-European oral traditions, and a version can also be found in ancient texts from India. 

Campbell includes his fictionalized narrative in the novel as well as original Gaelic texts he used to retell the story. Additionally, the novel features a chapter from George Henderson, who tells the story of "Fraoch and the Dragon."
