An innocent man is days from execution. Only a guilty man can save him.

Travis Boyette is a murderer. Nine years ago, he strangled a high-school cheerleader and buried her body so it could never be found. Then, he watched and waited as police arrested Donte Drumm, a local football star with no connection to the crime.

Tried, convicted, and sentenced, Drumm was sent to death row whilst Boyette walked free.

Now, Donte Drumm is four days from execution. And as Boyette faces his own mortality, hehas finally decided to do what is right. He has decided to confess.

But how can he convince the state that they are about to execute the wrong man?

Brave

Few writers would consider the death penalty as the subject of a book. There is a lot of drama in this story together with analysis in depth of the judicial system in some States like Texas. As for many books by the same author the mix of public and private is so well balanced that even the most legal details and regulations become fascinating. The crazy battle to save the life of an innocent man is so full of surprrises and suspense to compete with most of the well known thrillers.

An in-depth look into capital punishment

Following the story of an innocent man on death row this book is like watching a movie play out in real time . Exciting with believable characters strong story lines and a good ending ( everyone got what they deserved and justice prevailed ) . Easy to read and become wrapped up in lots of details . The most enjoyable read highly recommend

Excellent and fascinating at the same time

An extremely good story as expected from John G. But apart from being a good story it also provides a fascinating insight into the process around Death row and the appeals to try and save someones life which is extremely detailed in this book. Well wrth a read.
