Publisher Description
HOW I MADE DEATH MY FRIEND AND OTHER STORIES is a collection of four short stories across different genres.
"How I Made Death My Friend" is the story of a person who is battling depression through the pandemic. On a day when things were more on the low side, the unnamed main character decides to get some ice cream. While standing in the frozen goods aisle, a shadowy figure draped in a robe floats next to Raylin, where a conversation surrounding the pair's favorite ice cream takes place.
"All For A Jewel" follows Jess, a female cat burglar, with only sixty minutes to complete a high-risk, high-reward jewel theft. Filled with a witty inner monologue, it doesn't take long for the thief to realize she has been betrayed by the very people that hired her to complete the job.
"The Ringing" follows the story of a young detective as he is assigned a murder case in an old manor house. Upon arriving at the scene, he is met with a seemingly insane woman who had just lost her husband. The detective has to make a decision on whether or not this woman, who is insistent on hearing her lost husband calling for her on a ringing phone, is the murderer or a victim of her own situation.
"The Red Sun Rises" is a story of a vampire who would do anything to save her country, even sacrifice her own life. She races the sunrise, followed by enemies and hounds on every side, trying desperately to get information that would change the tide of war back to her nation before it's too late.
