The ultimate Rome story

The young Julius Caesar is serving on board a war galley, gaining a fearsome reputation. Then his ship is captured and he is abandoned on the North African coast. After gathering a legion of men powerful enough to gain vengeance on his captors and to suppress an uprising in Greece, he returns to Rome a hero.

At the moment of his triumph, Julius finds he must fight again. A savage rebellion threatens the city, led by a gladiator named Spartacus…

The second instalment in the bestselling Emperor series.

TLS

‘A rich and compelling novel that draws the reader into an extraordinary time and the life of an extraordinary man.’

Madhagman ,

Thank you

Thank you Conn your books are amazing. I never enjoyed reading before but the Ceasar and Khan books are a real joy to read.

Emperor

One of the only books I couldn't put down and I never liked reading unless I had too until I read this.....awesome five stars

lozzingtons ,

A good read.

I enjoyed this on the whole although I thought some of the writing was a bit clumsy and he takes massive liberties with history in order to make a better story, but at the end of the day this is a novel, not a history book- so if you enjoyed any of the Sharpe books, you'll probably love this.
