5 Rooftop stars for this swoony, warm-hearted story.
The DO-OVER by Piper Rayne is the fifth book in the Rooftop Crew series. This is Knox’s story and his love interest isn’t who we have all been reading about throughout the previous 4 books. He’s always been the one with the over-the-top lovelife but now he’s single and when he bumps into Kamea again, he’s reminded of how they first met.
Piper and Rayne always manage to create the best characters with hot as hell males and snarky, sassy females to keep them on their toes. I loved the friendship this tight-knit group has formed, and their willingness to add another to it when they ‘know’ they are the right fit.
Knox is a cop with a heart of gold, one who can’t stand to see others suffer. Kamea has been left out on the street thanks to her friend, (Knox’s ex-girlfriend). She has no place to go when he offers her a room in his apartment.
Has Fate lent a helping hand, or muddied the waters?
Knox knows he’s regretting picking the wrong girl years ago, but he also can’t allow his feelings to win when Kamae is under his roof.
What will they do? Will Kamea walk away or fight for what she wants this time?
Be ready for a bumpy, angsty ride with plenty of banter and some steamy moments. As always, a great read from the fantastic duo. A perfect book to start the holiday season.
