Publisher Description
He’s the father of my child and my best friend.
When Hudson and I met, somehow things just clicked between us. We had the same sense of humor and the same carefree attitude about our lives and goals. Neither of us wanted to lay down roots, we wanted to explore the world.
Then one night, too much alcohol and uncontrolled hormones led to the line blurring, and we fell into bed together only to discover a month later that we were more careless than we thought.
Like the upstanding guy he is, Hudson followed me back to my hometown of Lake Starlight, Alaska, where you can’t throw a penny and not hit one of my family members. We gave them the news that yes, we were having a baby but there would be no wedding. We loved each other but we weren’t in love.
Fast forward three years and we live side by side to make co-parenting our daughter easy. I’m a writer, and he’s a ski instructor. We’ve worked out all the rough edges. Life is good.
Until out of nowhere, things start to change. He has a girlfriend, we’re arguing more than ever, and it feels as if someone has come along and popped our perfect bubble. I’m not sure we’re ever going to fit back inside it now because things are developing. Things like feelings.

Absolutely Amazing and Beautiful Story
This is book four in The Lake Starlight series and it is Palmer and Hudson’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. Hudson and Palmer are best friends but when they had to much to drink they ended up spending a explosive night together only for Palmer to find out later that she was pregnant but as neither wanted a relationship because of their pasts or settle down they ended up co-parenting and living next door to each other in Lake Starlight so that they can both be there and look after their daughter Adley who was both of their worlds. Palmer is a romance author and has writers block but with a deadline looming for her next book and no word coming she ends up having a opportunity so she takes it and the words just seem to flow and with Palmer being deaf and using sign language writing was her solice and the light in her day is her beautiful daughter Adley and having Hudson as her best friend. Hudson is an instructor and snowboarding coach after moving to Lake Starlight to be near his daughter Adley and his best friend Palmer so life was busy but he loved every single moment of it. Palmer and Hudson had such a unique connection that people didn’t really understand so it had it’s difficulties and complications when other people were involved or included in their lives a bit like Hudson’s girlfriend Theresa who seem to resent the time that he spent with Palmer and Adley and she didn’t like the situation at all and now it was causing problems between Palmer and Hudson which has never happened before. What happens when you suddenly realise that you have been in love with the person closest to you all this time but to concerned or frightened to tell them because of the fear of being rejected well that is the situation that Palmer and Hudson find themselves in and neither really know what to do about it as it could completely ruin everything between them. Will Palmer and Hudson ever pluck up the courage and communicate to each other exactly how they feel before it is too late and get the happiness and future that they both want and deserve or will they keep quiet and stay as friend's losing out on something really special only time will tell what the outcome will be for them in the end. Piper Rayne are amazing authors and writers and there books are definitely worth reading and you will definitely not be disappointed.
