APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
C.L. Taylor specialises in pacey, surprise-packed psychological thrillers—and The Escape very much follows suit. When wife and mother Jo Blackmore is accosted by a stranger who knows more about her than is plausible, the encounter sparks a chain reaction that collapses her family life from all sides. As Jo fights to protect her loved ones in the face of open threats and sinister manipulation, Taylor cranks up the tension, making us acutely aware of the suffocating tightness of time and space.
Brilliant book had me hooked from start to finish.
Don’t waste your time
The plot is unrealistic and the characters are unlikeable. At points, the main character reacts ridiculously. Frustrating read, not enjoyable.
