The Fat Panda
Publisher Description
I painted ten animals for TKW’s nursery, the first being the three-toed sloth (Jennifer’s favorite). I painted a few other animals, including the very colorful chameleon before beginning the panda. Since the panda was itself not very colorful, I decided to add some green bamboo to brighten things up. After the first couple of brush strokes, the panda was quite round and not at all as I intended in my initial sketch. Rather than start over, a decision was made to make the panda plump. The panda ended with an expressionless face, which seemed unfitting for an animal floating on a fluffy cloud high above the green grass.
Maybe the other animals could help the panda out? Or maybe the panda is as unambitious as he appears?
