The Fey Duology

Long ago, the Elder Fey sundered the world, raising the kaleigh to confound their enemies, and to keep the Vaitura safe.

The enemies of the Vaitura have long since gone to dust, and a new folk now populate the lands beyond the kaleigh. The new folk have no kest—no power such as the Fey have. However, they have their own powers—a brilliant aura of which they seem unaware, and a new metal, inimical to Fey.

Altimere of the Elder Fey, one of the last surviving architects of the keleigh has a plan to depose the Bookkeeper Queen and to see the Fey become the masters of the new folk, their auras, and their tools. In order to put this plan into motion, he needs only one thing—
