The First Family is no different. Kerry Durgan, née First, is an alcoholic who has sold her share of the family ranch to a Houston bank for untold millions, thereby destroying a heritage that goes back more than 170 years.

           

It’s been nineteen years since Kerry ditched Craig Robeson at their high school prom, yet when they meet again, he’s still attracted to her. Perhaps because of his own flawed background, he sees the pain behind her bravado. The question is whether he can help her tap the core of goodness he knows is within her, and whether in doing so he can conquer the demons of his own troubled past.
