Had me hooked!
Although details are changed in places, you have to accept that with an Iggulden book, the tension keeps pace and builds wonderfully. It has led me to explore more learning about the region and its history. A great place to start the journey!

Excellent. I expected no less.
I have followed Conn Iggulden’s books for many years and he has never failed to disappoint. After his novels on Julius Caesar, I felt Greece was the next step, but it has taken a rather long time to get here.
Thankfully, it was worth the wait, and I breezed through this in around 3 days. This book follows the classic tale of the Persian invasion of Greece, and the incredible leadership and tactics of the Athenians and Spartans as they resist.
I can’t wait for the next one.
