Wonderful book
A great book with complex characters, compelling lead characters who have distinctive personalities in a realistic setting. I especially liked the main character, who somehow remained likeable through fits of temper and snap judgments - probably by having the sense to realise when he’s made a mistake. The plot was one of the best of mysteries I have read, each crime given the right consideration for how serious they are - I have read others that simply reference murder and rape for the shock value rather than contextualising them as the horrific crimes they are, this one was great for this.
If you are expecting a light hearted fluff piece where a Miss Marple type character bustles through a trivial mystery without gravitas or danger, you probably won’t appreciate this book.

Just a abduction, rape murders and getting story after. The end ..
Thanks for that wasted hours - you can read a book and it can make you feel happy, sad this just leaves you feeling upset with whole story and author ....
