The Healer

On the morning of his thirtieth birthday, Michael Johnson is propelled into a world where dark and sinister forces are ranged against him. Something profound has occurred, some strange biological time-bomb has been triggered, and he is staggered to learn that he has acquired a remarkable gift: the gift of healing.

The authorities learn of Johnson's abilities, and an unholy alliance between Church and State meets to plot his downfall. Taking refuge in a hospice run by the enigmatic Father Simmonds, Michael soon discovers that his sanctuary is both prison and fortress. Soon rumours abound of a strange new cult, The Church of The New Millennium, with Michael as its figurehead.

As the Alliance launches its offensive to eradicate The Church of The New Millennium, the hospice is placed under armed siege. The world's news media watch and wait as the siege escalates to its explosive and lethal conclusion, and the global conspiracy between Church and Government that has existed for hundreds of years is finally, and dramatically, revealed.
