A sexy new standalone romance from #1 New York Times Bestselling Author Lauren Blakely
At first glance, stripping naked at my ex-girlfriend's place of work might not seem like the brightest way to win her heart again. But trust me on this count—she always liked me best without any clothes on. And sometimes you have to play to your strengths when you're fighting an uphill battle. As a lawyer, I know how to fight, and I'm prepared to fight hard for her. Because sometimes you need a second chance at first love.
He's the one who got away . . .
The nerve of Tyler Nichols to reappear like that at my job, showing off his rock-hard body that drove me wild far too many nights. That man with his knowing grin and mischievous eyes is nothing but a cocky jerk to saunter back into my life. Except, what if he's not . . .? I've tried like hell to forget him, but maybe I'm cursed to remember the guy I fell madly in love with eight years ago. Lord knows I’m not over him, so what's the harm in giving him a week to prove he's changed in the ways that matter?
After all, how do you resist the hot one . . .?

The Hot One
Lauren has done it again i couldnt put this down until i had finished . An excellent read thanks
A great second chance romance!
One of the things I love most about Lauren Blakely books is the lack drama, don’t get me wrong we still have a little but its never over done or outrageous. I think sometimes less drama is definitely the way to go.
Lauren Blakely has a knack for writing these HOT as hell heroes that could melt your panties off with a look and make you swoon so hard! Tyler has taken over my top spot of her men!
Tyler broke up with Delaney 8 years ago in quite a callous and cruel way, he is a bit self absorbed at times in this book at times. His cocky, arrogant and overall sexy demeanour is what attracted me most to Tyler but his determination to winning Delaney’s heart for a second chance is what completely endeared him to me.
Delaney wasn’t what I expected, she was a real glass half full kind of girl. She is so environmentally friendly and tries her best to make a difference in the world. I really liked her character, she was upbeat, fun and had a personality that drew you to her.
This book flowed flawlessly, the story wasn’t over the top nor was it boring. It had just the right amount of everything to make me want to keep reading. I cant wait to see what we get next from this very talented author.
4.5 ☆ - Fun and sexy second chance romance with humour and heart that will have you swooning
The Hot One is a fun and sexy second chance romance with humour and heart that will have you swooning as this sweet and sexy guy vows to do whatever it takes to win back the woman who stole his heart years in college. It was light hearted and sweet but also had just enough emotion and steamy scenes to make it an addictive page turner that will have you falling in love with the two main characters.
Tyler and Delaney, who tell the book through dual perspectives, have a sizzling chemistry that is obvious from the very beginning of the book and it’s more than clear for both characters, despite the time lapse since they split, their attraction is still there and they still hold each other close to their hearts and have longed for more. With their paths crossing by chance, Tyler and Delaney can’t ignore the chemistry between them and with a little persistence from Tyler, they find themselves exploring things once again, although both still are withholding things in regard to their previous relationship. Both Tyler and Delaney are strong and likeable characters but each have a vulnerable, softer side to them. It’s nice to catch up with familiar faces from other books, a couple of previous characters playing big roles in helping expand Tyler and Delaney’s characters (if you haven’t read the previous connected standalone books, don’t worry as any details necessary are given).
The Hot One was strong from start to finish and is a real mix of tension, friendship, romance, sweetness, and humour to make this an enthralling read. The book is set over a relatively short period of time, therefore moving at a fast pace for the majority of the book, but their history supports this pacing. As always with these books, this can be read as a standalone with a sweet HEA.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this very entertaining read that isn’t too heavy on angst but with just enough to make this a brilliant romantic comedy!
