Great story.
One of my favourite authors and always have admired what has always appeared to be the accurate research. However there is one detail in this book that cannot bear close scrutiny. The knot used for the asphyxiation is repeatedly referred to as a “double clove hitch”. The length of rope used for the knot is repeatedly referred to as “30 inches”. Given that the average circumference of an adult is close to 15 inches it is absolutely impossible to tie a double clove hitch on a neck of that circumference using just 30 inches of rope. It could possibly be achieved by tying a simple clove hitch.

Grisham at his best. Story turns from utterly gripping to slightly far fetched. Well worth the read.
