Publisher Description

In the little town of Bonnie Hill, South Carolina there is a hair salon called the Clip N Curl. In the salon the last hair dryer on the left has become more than a simple hair drying station. When Bernice Williams sat in the chair and picked the winning numbers in the lottery it became the place to sit and wish for dreams to come true. Now, women come from everywhere to sit and make their wishes. Jo Ellen Lee, the owner of the Clip N Curl has never believed in such nonsense but would agree the chair has been good for business. Her stylists Florence, Charlotte, Savannah and the California girl, Laurel vote thumbs up when they deem the wish entertaining and worthy. Jo Ellen Lee is a single mom with her hands full running the Clip N Curl and raising her unruly son, Anton. What she doesn't need is her shop shut down by the town's corrupt elders, the Mayor, bank president and the sheriff in a second mortgage scheme gone bad. Jo Ellen discovers they don't have her money. It's been invested with Trump International Investment Partners of Hamilton, Bermuda. Sadly, TIIP is not actually at a prestigious address in Bermuda but down in Florida with "Uncle" Lou Miller, "The Human Lie Detector" and his fellow con-men in a prison where they have a cozy relationship with the warden. The girls need to get their shop back but have no plan, no money and other than cutting and dying hair, no skills. They have only each other to rely on. Jo Ellen and the girls of the Clip N Curl must figure who the bad guys are and find a way to get their money and shop back. The task won't be easy. The sheriff and Mayor are threatening and shaking down the girls and other business owners in Bonnie Hill for more cash especially Anton who they believe has two-hundred thirty-two thousand dollars in cash stuffed in a duffle bag. What is going on with that boy? Is he dealing drugs? He has a fancy new Italian motorcycle and all that money. Anton says "no way" but can Jo Ellen believe him? It seems that boy was put on earth to drive Jo Ellen crazy with worry. And, finally who is this new man in town? The mysterious Charlie Heaux who seems to be lurking around town trying to blend in. Come with Jo Ellen and the salon girls as they struggle to save their shop and discover the power of their love for each other and the magic of the last hair dryer on the left.
