Hugely enjoyable
I really enjoyed re-reading this classic sci fi book. The premise is quite simple, what happens when a space ship is hooked up to a matter transmitter, but the stories ( the book is split into novella length sub stories) are excellent and well thought out. It’s reminiscent of Foundation and Cities in Space but it’s none the worse for that. Remember, it’s a period piece, a little sexist in places, but really good nonetheless. There’s a movie to be made and it would be far better than the Foundation TV series, which is a miss if ever there was one.
